I find that the keyboard is working perfectly on the Intel Mac but not working on the Apple Silicon Mac. Wine cannot find the FreeType font library. So I use the same app via XQuartz on two Macs, one with Intel CPU and the other with Apple Silicon. Then it creates a virtual drive and proceeds to next screen where it says "Please wait while Steam is installed." and then just hangs forever. Still, before connecting I test just 'xeyes' or 'xclock' and it works. We are going to use the system wine version instead". It then shows me: "macOS Catalina user: 32bits wine version are no longer available. I click Next a few times and reach "Welcome to PlayOnMac Installation Wizard" with text "This wizard will help you install Steam on your computer", etc. I go to "Install a program" in PlayOnMac and search for "Steam" and click Install.
#Xquartz not responding mac os x
I installed the newest version of PlayOnMac (4.4) about an hour ago, which supposedly now works with Mac OS X Catalina as of 4 July 2020 (yesterday). in your terminal shell (bash), find the executable bin of xquartz which xquartz if it does/might not exist but it should be in /opt/X11/bin/xquartz now either (1) ensure that /opt/X11/bin/ is in your path by export PATH'/opt/X11/bin:PATH' or (2) create a symlink for xquartz from /usr/local/bin/xquartz to /opt/X11/bin/xquartz. Whenever I launch an app requiring Xquartz (xclock, xterm, gnuplot with x11 terminal), nothing happens.

I have a fresh Mac OS X Catalina 10.15.5 installation on my Macbook Pro. Hi, XQuartz-2.8.0rc2 stopped working on my Mac Book Pro, OS Catalina (10.15.7).

Hi, I am a newcomer to PlayOnMac, and I am trying to begin running Windows-based Steam games with it.
